I used Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in the making of this design.

I designed the base 3D model in Cinema 4D and left all of the color and texture completely blank, deciding to do that process in Photoshop.
Now everything comes together. With the addition of light and fog effects, mood has entered the picture. Next, I will add some additional color to enhance the sense of mystery shrouding the disappearance of McGregor the Magnificent. The title will be designed and imported from Illustrator.

I started with a heavily saturated gradient to establish the horizon.
Reflections are added to the water, and an orange hue applied to the overall image. In the next phase, I will add the title and framing elements.
